Penlee (Newlyn) Bowling Club was established in 1919 on an idyllic site, literally on the sea front, between Penzance and Newlyn. It enjoys extensive views across Mounts Bay to St. Michael's Mount, the Lizard Peninsula and Newlyn. During the summer Penlee takes part in a range of bowling leagues in mens, womens and mixed competitions. We also have many friendlies during the season. In winter we have a lively short mat bowls section. Additionally there are many club competitions in which bowlers of all abilities are encouraged to compete. Penlee also hosts two major bowls tournaments in July and August - the Fred Day Tournament for mixed pairs and the Mounts Bay Tournament for mens singles and mens pairs.
